Hi, Douglas--

I'd love to hear a rebroadcast of your "Computer basics everyone should know." (I hope I got the title right.) I was not a subscriber when it first ran, and I could not locate it on the Web site after you mentioned it last year. Is it possible to re-run it?

Career topics of interest: Starting/growing a business, building confidence, getting past barriers, negotiation, work-life balance, IT-related and professional books you're reading, etc. I also enjoyed the presentations of the people you've interviewed periodically and would love to hear these again.

Thanks,

Carrie

I think the column/podcast you are thinking of is "The least you need to know." Let me know if this isn't the right one, though.

Thanks for the topic ideas. They are always appreciated.

As for the past interviews, this Google Search should turn up all or most of them. Let me know if there is a specific one you don't find in this search.

Thanks for writing!

Honestly, I really liked the articles you used to write for ComputorEdge...it was easy to find for me, easy to read, easy to carry around. As much as I like technology (having been in it since 1979) I still find the Internet not quite up to par with paper and ink...not that it won't get there, just that it's not there yet. We need more infrastructure, cheaper access rates, easier accessibility, etc.

So maybe there could be topics on how to find jobs that will create that future that I see as inevitable.

Thanks for the post!

The first thought off the top of my head was, "We get what we demand." Perhaps I am still stick on this Year of Leadership theme, but I think we have stopped asking, stopped demanding, what we want out of life. If we want better, cheaper, access then we need to not only demand it, but go there and figure out ways to make it happen.

I will have to mull these thoughts over to see what I can come up with.
